FWIW

At least two of those 'bugs' seem to be standard Windows behavior (the selection of the space at the end happens in lots of MS apps and the selection of 'the word to the left' happens as a function of where you actually double click).

Just curious: If you worked for IBM, can't you check out the SPR list or have friends who can?
